We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Specialist to be part of our growing team and help drive promotion of the brand and the conversion of subscribers. The Community Engagement Specialist will report to the Community Engagement Manager and be responsible for developing and executing local market engagement initiatives to increase awareness and interest in our fiber internet services. The ideal candidate will have a passion and skillset for direct customer interaction, a deep understanding of the local market, and an entrepreneurial mindset. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute local market engagement strategies and events to increase awareness and interest in our brand and fiber internet services

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including local business organizations, community groups, and influencers

  • Prior to a new market entry, engage with individual customers and neighborhood leaders to prepare for construction and drive sign-ups

  • Partner with local marketing to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns, including lead generation and account-based marketing

  • Conduct presentations and demos to potential customers, highlighting the benefits of our fiber internet services

  • Track and report on market engagement activities, including lead generation, customer engagement, and pipeline progress

  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that leads are being effectively followed up and converted into subscribers

  • Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and other relevant networking opportunities

 

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in direct sales, preferably in the telecommunications industry

  • Proven track record of successful direct engagement sales

  • Strong knowledge of the fiber internet market and technology trends

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

  • Ability to conduct presentations and demos to potential customers, highlighting the benefits of our fiber internet services

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as with automation tools, such as Hubspot and SalesForce

  • Valid driver's license, excellent driving record and reliable transportation
