Job Description:
Looking for individuals experienced with field & contractor management related to outside plant, utility construction with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure. The right candidate will have experience reading and interpreting construction designs, working with contractors to ensure the work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely, address any issues and concerns that arise and the ability to verify redlines, track and succinctly report project progress to local and upper management.

Looking for individuals experienced with field & contractor management related to outside plant, utility construction with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure. The right candidate will have experience reading and interpreting construction designs, working with contractors to ensure the work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely, address any issues and concerns that arise and the ability to verify redlines, track and succinctly report project progress to local and upper management.
Responsibilities:

Drive contractor construction production, while ensuring efficiency & safety
-
Visit job sites to ensure accuracy of work being completed by contractors, perform takeoffs.

Compile data and complete project documentation & reports for upper management

Participate in scheduled meetings and maintain projects on track and under budget

Complete project closeout, invoicing, and project analysis as needed

Be a problem solver that can provide dynamic solutions

Maintain relationships with key vendors, subs and clients.

Work collaboratively in a team environment

Be able to follow issued directives, yet work independently to manage daily workload
-
Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 3 years of project management
-
Degree in civil engineering, construction management or relevant field preferred but not required
-
Experience reading and understanding underground utility construction designs (IFA/IFC) and post-construction redlines
-
Strong understanding of directional boring and trenching of communication lines and other utilities such as Sewers and Water Mains
-
Proficient using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT
-
PMP or other PM certifications a strong plus
