Requirements:

Understanding of Interstate vs Intrastate circuits and implications

Understanding of types of circuit hand-offs

Highly organized and excellent communication skills

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Primary Tasks
-
Evaluate market transport circuit providers for upcoming FTTX builds
-
Work with network engineering team in determining A and Z circuit locations
-
Update and maintain circuit tracking sheet
-
Continuously evaluate active circuits and make recommendations for extending contract terms, decommissioning, upgrading or migrating circuits.

Ensure timely circuit deliveries to active cabinet sites to ensure deadlines are met
-
Continuously evaluate circuit dependencies and make redundant path recommendations where warranted based on Surf guidelines
-
Continuously work to drive down circuit costs through contract renegotiations, working with network engineering in optimizing network architecture, using alternative carriers, decommissioning of underutilized paths, etc.

Develop and document formal circuit testing methodology and ensure its adherence

Work with outside plant team to perform testing of transport circuits at carrier meet me points
-
Work with outside plant team to perform testing of transport circuits across off-net and on-net portions of Surf network
-
Coordinate with carriers, network engineering team and access engineer on hand-off methodology (# of strands, dark, lit, on-site carrier equipment, type of optical hand-off, etc)
-
Act as the main point of contact for carriers to interface with Surf and maintain continuous communication to ensure timely and proper hand-off of transport.

Oversee the test and turn-up process for enterprise customer circuit delivery. Ensure testing standards are met and circuit delivery is meeting Surf standards.

Review all contracts and track SLA levels

Obtain circuit credits when SLA levels not met

Setup monitoring of customer equipment in Solarwinds.

Create enterprise customer monitoring dashboards in Solarwinds.
