Job Description:

The successful candidate's most important qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree required from ABET credited university.
  • 8+ years of experience in Utility Coordination, Fiber, or Broadband.
  • P.E. License in the State of Florida required. 
  • Project management experience with client interactions, task management, and business development.
  • Ability to work independently; well-developed time management skills, especially the ability to complete high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables on tight timelines amid competing deadlines within a diverse work group.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written and visual formats technical information related to natural hazards and resilience in projects, presentations, and papers, as well as facilitate community meetings with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform an expanded array of tasks as needed to broaden experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs applicable to business units.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and tact in obtaining and analyzing information related to engineering and design.
  • Ability to analyze situations to pinpoint problems and assist with solving problems or identifying sources of obstacles.  
  • Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
  • Desire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industry knowledge and grow in your career.
  • Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals.
  • Interest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to remain a trusted resource in the community.

Essential functions:
  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Assist the Department Manager in determining schedules, budgets, and staffing for projects.
  • Perform project functions relating to production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance. 
  • Perform quality control review of designs and projects concerning preliminary engineering reports, layouts, schematics, plans and specifications, and cost estimations. 
  • Identify and solicit project opportunities with current and potential clients.
  • Represents the client in meetings with clients to resolve complex issues and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Represents the client at professional conferences, and meetings, presenting results of work within the company, when appropriate.
  • Works on other related projects in order to acquire supplementary technical and programmatic knowledge/skills.
  • Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities.
  • Work with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work product that is error free. 
  • Adhere to the client’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.
