Civil Engineering Project Manager - Telecom  Hybrid in Columbia, MD
In-office expectation: 2–3 days per week
 

Compensation & Perks

  • Salary Range: $114K–$150K (for PE)

  • Bonus eligible

  • Mileage reimbursement for client visits

Qualifications & Preferences

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, EIT certification - nice to have

  • Strong communicator

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Goal: Help generate and manage $1M+ in revenue

  • Open to managing a small team 

  • ASAP need

 

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and clients as primary point of contact.
  • Review advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
  • Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects. 
  • Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing and business development support.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new work with existing and potential clients.
  • Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors’ approval.
  • Responsible for meeting predetermined goals on productivity targets and financial aspects of projects including profit, unbilled, accounts receivable, and direct the Project Accounting team on project invoicing.
  • Manage a maximum of 4 direct reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in related field.
  • PE license is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required to complete site visits as needed.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of RFDs, structural, zoning and construction drawings, in addition to a strong understanding of the assembly of telecom plans.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical and non-technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to complete field work which requires walking. 
  • Ability to travel to sites, as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
  • Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
    MVR will be checked and monitored.
