The Director of OSP Construction Services is not just responsible for managing teams but for leading by example, inspiring team members to take ownership of their work, and aligning every action with the company's core values, such as integrity and accountability.

 

YOUR ROLE IN ACTION

 
  • Strategic Leadership and Operational Excellence: Work closely with the COO to develop and refine processes and procedures, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient field practices. This role is instrumental in growing the company's customer base, as well as in hiring, training, and managing new team members and fostering partnerships with subcontractor vendors.
  • Financial Oversight and Accountability: Oversee P&L for your accounts, demonstrating accountability for managing budgets, achieving growth targets, and maintaining healthy profit margins. This role involves careful financial planning and analysis to ensure operational cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Field Operational Management: Responsible for direct supervision of the contraction management team, executing operational procedures, ensuring strict adherence to workforce training programs, and supporting critical equipment procurement decisions. This role is key in cultivating a safety culture, managing both internal and subcontractor crews, allocating resources effectively, maintaining production commitments, and facilitating customer interaction. It also encompasses general project management responsibilities to ensure smooth operational flow and project success.
  • Recruitment: Take a proactive approach in recruiting new members for our internal workforce, filling roles essential for supporting ongoing projects and accommodating future growth needs. This involves strategic talent acquisition to ensure a robust and skilled team aligned with the company's evolving objectives and operational demands.
  • Team and Culture Development: Spend considerable time with our team to instill the DCOMM culture and business methodologies among employees and vendors. Develop the leadership team and practices to align with customer requirements.
  • Performance and Growth: Collaborate with the COO to define key performance indicators, best practices, and field procedures and take charge of their execution. Ensure adherence to internal and customer construction guidelines and quality standards in projects.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 
  • Experience: Extensive experience in telecommunications operational leadership is essential, preferably with a background as a general contractor. Significant experience in aerial and underground coax and fiber construction.
  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of construction methodologies, equipment, and safety protocols related to telecommunications infrastructure, including hands-on expertise.
  • Strategic Planning and Project Management: Strong strategic planning abilities and demonstrated project management skills, capable of efficiently coordinating multiple tasks and projects.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively lead and manage diverse teams. High emotional intelligence for empathizing and interacting effectively with team members.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are necessary for effective team management, client interactions, and training.
  • Safety Focus: A strong commitment to safety, with experience in enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and adapt to changing conditions. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for quality outcomes.
  • Work Ethic and Attitude: Demonstrated strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a sense of accountability and ownership in all aspects of project management.
  • Training and Development: Eagerness to engage in continuous learning and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
