The Director of Venue Acquisition will grow the client’s venue footprint through new real estate acquisition in core/key vertical markets with deal economics focused in driving higher monthly recurring revenue. This position will be focused on venue pursuit based on core verticals and carrier demand.

The Director of Venue Acquisition will grow the client’s venue footprint through new real estate acquisition in core/key vertical markets with deal economics focused in driving higher monthly recurring revenue. This position will be focused on venue pursuit based on core verticals and carrier demand.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Build a pipeline of venue opportunities through a combination of carrier-generated leads, vertical strategies, and seller experience.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of in-building connectivity with the ability to discuss different solutions by vertical market, at a high level.
- Own venue business opportunities from pursuit through venue contract with support from Solutions Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Marketing.
- Keep up to date on industry trends as it relates to in-building connectivity, including MNO spending trends, 5G and verticals/markets of interest.
- Facilitate selling activities w/internal MNO sales colleagues as it relates to inbuilding sales.
- Build relationships with key leaders in the venue space and meet them in person or via video/phone to present value-added solutions
- Lead vertical strategy sessions to identify core products and offerings in each vertical; establish ground rules for the minimum viable deal
- Vast understanding of new wireless technologies such as Private Networks and different in-door wireless funding models.
- Translate the output of vertical strategy sessions into new sales materials, messaging and pursuit lists.
- Develop and maintain accurate sales and revenue forecasts and management of quota funnels for the venue market.
- Perform related job duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in business or related field; JD or MBA is a plus
- At least 10 years of related sales experience in the wireless industry
- Experience providing mentorship to less-experienced sales employees
- Strong consultative selling, prospecting, and networking skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with venue clients
- Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape within the venue space in various vertical markets
- Experience working for or with the MNOs; key contacts within the MNOs a plus
- Current and demonstrable experience with face-to-face consultative selling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proven prospecting, networking and business development skills
- Self-motivated team player with a polished presence and strong negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S
