The Director of Wireless Services leads large-scale wireless telecommunications construction projects across multiple markets. This role manages project delivery, field operations, safety compliance, budgeting, and schedule performance for carrier-focused wireless programs. The Director works closely with internal leadership, project teams, subcontractors, and carrier partners to ensure successful execution of complex network deployments.

The Director of Wireless Services leads large-scale wireless telecommunications construction projects across multiple markets. This role manages project delivery, field operations, safety compliance, budgeting, and schedule performance for carrier-focused wireless programs. The Director works closely with internal leadership, project teams, subcontractors, and carrier partners to ensure successful execution of complex network deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead wireless construction and deployment operations across assigned regions
- Manage teams including Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Field Supervisors
- Oversee wireless infrastructure projects including:
- Macro tower construction and modifications
- Small cell and 5G deployments
- DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) installations
- Antenna and line installations
- Carrier equipment installation, upgrades, and integrations
- Ensure compliance with carrier standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and overall financial performance
- Drive project schedules, milestones, and timely deliverables
- Coordinate with wireless carriers, vendors, municipalities, and subcontractors
- Improve operational efficiency, productivity, and construction processes
- Support client relationships, proposals, and new market expansion
- Enforce OSHA, NATE, and company safety programs across field operations
- Develop, mentor, and retain project and construction leadership teams
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications construction
- 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role managing wireless operations
- Strong knowledge of:
- Wireless network infrastructure
- Tower construction and structural modifications
- Small cell and 5G deployment
- Carrier equipment installation and integration
- Experience managing large, multi-market wireless construction programs
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
- Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to travel to support wireless construction sites and field operations
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting major wireless carriers (national providers)
- Familiarity with carrier closeout packages, standards, and integration workflows
- Understanding of NTP, RFDS, site acquisition, and construction lifecycle processes
- Experience managing subcontractors and large field operations teams
