ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Overtime and Saturday may be required based on business need
•Physically place, remove, or modify non-working equipment including the following:
•Cable trays and/or racking
•Data equipment cabinets and frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls
•Identify, label, measure, and physically route the cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data in various technical spaces
•Read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
•Complete operations paperwork (e.g., expense reports, timesheets, job documentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requested
•Work and assist to complete tasks per direction and oversight of lead installer
•Act as a customer contact; interface with customers and local supervisors regarding project status
•Interact with all members of the organization including Installation, Engineering, Project Management

  Installer III:   3 - 6 years of experience- Installer IIII 7+ yearsKnowledge & Experience:
  • Understanding of Telcordia's GR-1275-CORE as well as the TP76300 central office equipment installation standards

      • Terminating Secondary Power Feeds
      • Bonding and Grounding
    • Grounding
      • Isolated & Integrated Ground Plane understanding
    • Fiber Optic Requirements
      • Optical Fiber Pathways
      • Securing Fiber Optic Cables
      • Fiber Optic Cable Jumpers
      • Segregation of Optical Fiber Cable
      • Breakout, and Interbay Fiber Cable
      • Physical Protection of Fiber Cables
      • Bonding/Grounding of fiber cables
      • Connecting/Cleaning of fibers
      • Labeling
      • Corrugated Plastic Innerduct
    • Removals
      • Job Documentation & Coordination
      • Hazardous Material/Waste (asbestos)
      • Update Office Drawings and Records
      • Equipment Protection
      • Equipment alarms
      • Equipment Removal for Reuse
      • DC Power Circuit and Fuse Removal
      • AC Power Circuit and Conduit Removal
      • Cable Removal and Mining
      • Cable Cutting Tool Requirements
      • Cable Cutting Procedures and Precautions
      • Equipment Frame/Cabinet Removal
      • Mechanical power connections
      • Connection Removals
      • Terminal Block and Circuit Removal
      • Removal of Overhead Ironwork & Bracing
      • Equipment Retired in Place
      • Vacated Terminal Strips
      • Office Alarms
      • Circuit Packs
    • Provide work assignments/training to Installers I - II
      • Prepare the following:
      • MOP's, JIM's, Marking of Office Record Drawings
      • Final Quality Audits
      • Resolve Job Specification and/or drawing problems
    • Be capable of:
      • performing additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment & circuits
      • Circuit Modifications
      • Software additions or upgrades
      • Power transition work
      • Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
      • Equipment test and turn up (C&IS)
