Job Description
The Field Performance Advisor (FPA) plays a key role in ensuring optimal Supplier performance and continuous improvement across construction and deployment operations. Acting as a strategic liaison between Ericsson and its field Suppliers, the FPA conducts regular site visits to provide real-time feedback, troubleshoot performance gaps, and identify opportunities to enhance build quality, crew productivity, tool utilization, and safety compliance. This position requires deep industry knowledge, hands-on construction experience, and strong consultative skills to drive standardized, efficient, and high-quality project execution across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities

Site & Supplier Performance Management

Analyze site performance indicators such as cycle times, Close-Out Package (COP) accuracy, Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) compliance, tool usage, and construction quality.

Conduct root cause analyses on-site to diagnose performance gaps and drive immediate corrective actions.

Provide structured feedback to Suppliers and internal stakeholders based on site assessments, ensuring alignment on KPIs and process expectations.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

Identify recurring issues and partner with Suppliers to implement corrective actions and long-term process improvements.

Recommend and help implement enhancements to Ericsson tools and systems in collaboration with Automation and Operational Excellence teams.

Contribute to national-level improvement initiatives by sharing market-specific insights with other FPAs.

Strategic Field Engagement

Plan and prioritize daily/weekly field visits based on Supplier performance, operational priorities, and business needs.

Support Ericsson Project Managers and Construction Managers in addressing on-site technical questions, validating construction drawings, and facilitating customer interactions.

Training, Compliance & Standards Enforcement

Ensure Supplier adherence to Ericsson and customer construction, quality, and safety standards.

Deliver guidance on construction best practices and proper tool usage, ensuring Supplier teams are properly trained and equipped.

Maintain ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations, including enforcement of OSHA 30-hour standards.

Performance Reporting & Governance

Track, document, and report Supplier performance data via tools such as Power BI and Site Tracker.

Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with performance insights, recommendations, and follow-up actions from the field.

Provide field-level feedback on process trials and contribute to business cases for operational changes.

Internal: Market Project Teams, Customer Units, Construction & Project Management, EHS, Operational Excellence, Automation, HR

External: Third-Party Suppliers, Property Owners, Customers
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
7+ years of relevant industry experience in telecom field construction or deployment operations.
-
Bachelor's degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field).

Deep understanding of telecom construction scopes (Civils, L&A, Ground, Backhaul, Maintenance).

Experience managing general contractors and driving performance improvements in vendor relationships.
-
Strong working knowledge of contracts, leasing terms, and financial project metrics.
-
Proficient in safety regulations; OSHA 30 certification required.

Experience working with Ericsson equipment or similar OEM platforms preferred.
-
Ability to work independently in the field and make sound decisions under pressure.

Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Skills

Proficiency in project management and performance analytics tools (Power BI, Site Tracker, etc.)

Knowledge of Ericsson’s internal systems and deployment methodology.

Change management and process improvement experience.
