DESCRIPTION
The Field Supervisor is a leading provider of construction, installation, maintenance and testing services for coaxial and fiber optic cable systems of FTTP, FTTdp, FTTN/FTTLA projects. Willing to travel and be on call, self-motivated, team player and hard working.
Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
Manage and schedule multiple crews, work closely with the Project Manager
Responsible for dailies and daily reports
Interact and communicate with customers in a clear and professional manner
Schedule appointments to complete jobs
Able to accurately estimate construction projects
Capable of reading prints and have work zone skills
Reviews the pre-job checklist prior to start up
Completes walk-through with foreman and customer
Evaluate crew member’s performance and provide coaching
Qualifications
3-5 years related experience in construction
Ability to direct crews, read prints and maintain as-built drawings.
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Flexible and work under pressure to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to communicate with teammates and customers
Competent with training and acclimating new employees to the SFI environment
Understanding of general safety processes and practices related to the construction industry
Familiar and experienced in aerial (overhead) and underground telecom construction
Experience running small to medium size jobs
Able to coordinate one to three small crews
Coordinate subs, and manage job materials
Basic computer and smartphone skills, word processing, Excel or similar, MS Outlook
Knowledgeable in reading construction drawings and blueprints
Familiar with construction equipment
Self-starter attitude
Professional appearance required
