Job Description
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to serve as the Design Lead for wireless infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and managing civil engineering aspects of DAS, small cell, macro, and rooftop wireless projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead design efforts from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead civil engineering design for wireless projects, including DAS, small cell, macro sites, and rooftop installations.

Prepare and review site civil plans, including foundation, structural, and grading designs.

Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and wireless RF engineers to ensure design feasibility and compliance.

Develop construction drawings, specifications, and documentation for permitting and contractor use.

Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing structures for suitability of installations.

Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal codes, as well as industry standards.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.

Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, budgets, and timelines.

Participate in RF site surveys and contribute to design solutions for challenging deployments.

Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings related to civil scope.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

5+ years of civil engineering experience in wireless infrastructure, including DAS, small cell, macro, or rooftop projects.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other civil design software.

Knowledge of structural foundations, rooftop mounts, and utility coordination.

Strong understanding of local permitting and regulatory requirements for telecom sites.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with wireless network rollout projects for carriers.

Familiarity with RF design requirements and constraints.

Experience working with construction contractors and third-party vendors.
