Job Description:
Candidates will be requested to verbally communicate both common & advanced configurations and config concepts. Expert knowledge of highly-available Networks, standards, best practices, and designs of such. Expert knowledge of the OSI Interconnect Model.
Hardware component knowledge MUST include routers, switches, firewalls, optical taps, media such as fiber and copper data cabling, optics / QSFPs (10G, 40G, 100G, 400G), device line cards, power connectors & cabling, and rack elevation & airflow.
The candidate will be responsible for remotely managing the physical install, capital management, complete configuration, design, troubleshooting, and interconnect of above equipment primarily in Domestic US space, although some International work may occasionally be required.
Candidates will be responsible to communicate status updates of above to the internal team using clear and accurate verbal and written methods, including but not limited to conference calls, face-to-face meetings, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Visio, and accurate technical documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets are extremely important.
Candidates will assist with the coordination and development of hardware and software bill-of-materials based on a provided Design. Participate in discussions with vendors and employees. Act as a critical check & balance to vendor technical proposals or statements. Ensure accuracy and accurate tracking of materials delivery. Manage the rollout of that Capital Hardware to remote locations according to the Design and in advance of a complex critical Network growth schedule. Manage Capital installation vendor & progress.
Strong history of accuracy and accountability when working with highly complex technical deployment and modification projects, which will be expected to be described in detail to the interviewer via detailed examples of such. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
We manage Infrastructure that services Customers that have zero tolerance for downtime.
Candidate should be able to work a few night shift schedules occasionally to remotely support some devices at our managed international locations.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
- Skills in Excel or GOOGLE SHEETS
- Candidates MUST have expert understanding of Carrier and Enterprise grade Network Infrastructure.
- Seven years' DEMONSTRATED advanced router & switch configuration & system administration experience with Cisco & Juniper Routers
- Similar experience with F5 AFM or LTM is recommended, or, experience with similar class vendors may be considered.
- Skills in scripting
- Fiber optic understanding
- Experience with Radware Gigamon or Extreme
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
- Shift is 9 am to 5pm with occasional night shift work during maintenance window that start from 12 am to 6am globally
