Industrial Electrician Superintendent Responsibilities:

· Oversee the operations of crews of electrical apprentices, industrial electricians, and electrical foremen.

· Work closely with the project foreman and project manager to ensure the efficient and successful completion of projects from start to finish.

· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

· Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

· Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.

· Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of all systems.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

· Ability to thoroughly follow instructions.

· Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of team members.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

· Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)

· Proficient in Blueprint reading.

· Understanding of one-line diagrams and PLCs.

· Class A CDL *Preferred*

· Highway Lighting experience *Preferred*

· Wastewater and Water Treatment Plant experience *Preferred*

· Minimum of of 3+ years of industrial electrical experience *Required*

· Minimum of 7+ years of supervising experience *Required*
