Summary:
The OSP Construction Manager is a critical leadership role that oversees Outside Plant Construction and Delivery. This position engages with team to ensure quality installation and upgrades to outside plant telecommunications infrastructure and fiber optic networks.
The OSP Construction Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of multiple construction crews and subcontractors, while they are engaged in the construction of Telecom communications systems. You will assist OSP Design Engineers with tracking, reporting and key metrics to help them understand production and
milestone status for projects. You will present your data and your dashboards to upper management.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage construction projects, and make sure they are completed on time, meet the needs of the
client and stay within budget.
Create timelines; and determine costs and resources needed.
Generate a detailed plan and schedule for each stage of the project.
Report the project progress to senior managers and the client.
Manage risks and manage to avoid delays.
Give direction to your supervisors, crews, delegating and assigning tasks to team as required
Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of aerial and underground construction
Monitoring and ensuring quality workmanship
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the Customer’s construction standards, processes, and procedures.
Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
Make regular trips to sites during pre-construction, construction and closeout.
Complete performance management functions, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and ongoing development of team
Assist in customer invoicing, and help ensure invoices are submitted accurately and timely.
Be your team’s “expert” and “go to” resource; spending time in the field to understand, improve and build your team
Build and maintain positive relationships with utilities, clients, permitting agencies and government officials as needed
Keep safety as your #1 priority for each of your team members: adhering to company safety standards and all federal, state and local laws
Other duties as assigned by OSP GM / Director
Other Considerations:
Work will primarily be in an office setting. In certain circumstances, work will be outdoors (in all types of weather).
May be exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels.
May require some travel within the United States.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications, preferred.
OSHA 10 Certification, preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant aerial and/or underground construction leadership experience required
Knowledge of Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Map Reading experience a plus
Valid driver’s license, Class A CDL a plus
Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
Accessible outside of normal business hours as needed
Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate effectively in-person or virtually
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Ability to give feedback; positive and negative when needed
Strong desire to grow and develop team members
