Job Description: As an Outside Plant/Fiber Optic Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. This hands-on position requires a thorough understanding of fiber optic technology and outside plant infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables and related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare necessary documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment required for fiber optic work.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in fiber optic/OSP work.
- Knowledge of fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
