Job Description
We are seeking a Permitting Specialist to manage the permitting process for infrastructure projects. This role involves preparing and submitting permit applications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with local agencies and internal teams. The ideal candidate has experience handling permits for construction, utilities, or telecommunications projects and is detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit permit applications for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility companies, and other regulatory agencies.
- Track permit approvals, rejections, and required modifications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the permitting process.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align permitting with project timelines.
- Address permit-related issues and provide necessary documentation or clarifications.
- Experience: 2+ years in permitting for construction, utilities, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with right-of-way (ROW) permitting, zoning laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Technical Skills: Experience with permitting software, GIS, or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Communication: Strong ability to interact with regulatory agencies and internal teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines efficiently.
- Experience with DOT and municipal permitting processes.
- Understanding of construction methods and infrastructure development.
- Prior work with permitting databases or tracking systems.
