Job Description:

The scope of this role has been evolved according to the new goals of this year of enabling commercialization of the technology. The team is building out permanent demos at 5G Labs, EBCs and office locations to enable product and sales organizations to experiment with the technology and form customer offerings. The primary focus is to support these activities from our Basking Ridge, NJ office, since the necessary networks and equipment are installed at this location.

Objectives
  1. VR Set Commercial Precedent of Cellular in VR
  2. AR Bring the Voice of the Customer to Boundless AR while continue tech. incubation
  3. Performance Management Secure Performance for a Commercial Launch
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • Google Slides, Doc and Sheets
  • Fluent English, writing, reporting
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic networking knowledge, IP address, gateway, subnet mask and network performance (bandwidth, latency, jitter)
  • Troubleshooting consumer electronics like smartphones, VR headsets
  • Android Debugging Bridge (ADB), transferring and installing applications on android devices
  • Content management principles
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with AR and VR headsets (user-level)
  • Android Studio
  • Unity, Unreal, NVidia hardware and tools
JOB DUTIES:
  • Upon training, the candidate should be able to set up (e.g. installing software clients to smartphones and XR headsets) and use of device, network and content management systems
  • Modify performance and configuration parameters (e.g. frame rate, resolution, light and fidelity) of existing content (2,3)
  • Receive and validate XR content internal and external sources, catalog the content and maintain repository of various versions
  • Manage content deployment into test systems (administrator of the streaming test portal), upload content, validate functionality (1)
  • Manage XR equipment used in testing at EBCs and 5G Labs, HMD firmware upgrades, streaming clients (1, 2, 3)
  • Manage test users and user groups at EBS and 5G Labs, field questions and provide assistance with test sessions (1,2,3)
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field
LOGISTICS:
  • Standard 9-5 position based out of Basking Ridge, NJ office.
  • We need the technician to be at least 3 days in the office, as the equipment is installed here.
  • Travel to Boston, San Francisco and field test locations in Los Angeles, Tempe Arizona and few other sites. Test campaigns are usually a week long and we have 3-5 campaigns a year.
