Job Description:
RF Engineer will be working with an established RF design group to exponentially increase demand in both 4G/5G sectors in our network. Looking for an individual who can take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project. Utilizes specialized knowledge to complete non-routine tasks. Troubleshoots problems, recommends appropriate action and handles most problems and issues independently and determines course of action for ambiguous issues. We are looking for a good team member - well organize, self-motivated, good communication and a team player. Willing to do repetitive tasks, work in high pressure environment, and work with vague guidelines.
Responsibilities also include:
- RF Design Experience with Samsung equipment
- Site selection & Review for new locations
- Lease Exhibit Approval for 4G/5G nodes
- Review and approve Candidates for 5G nodes
- Updating Atoll database and maintaining it for all approved candidates
- Updating database with RFDS (Site specific design)
- Creating plumbing diagrams, filing E911/Regulatory
- Managing and tracking all projects related issue
- Review Antenna Sweep and Close out packages
- Update MPE/EME report analysis for FCC regulatory filing
- RF Design Experience with Samsung equipment
- Review for new locations and Site selection thru Atoll prediction analysis
- Knowledge of RF theory, antenna patterns, as well as LTE/VoLTE/5G mmWV technology.
- Experience with RF design for a geographic area
- Antenna knowledge - experience selecting the correct antenna per design criteria
- MUST have knowledge of propagation modeling software as ATOLL
- MUST have knowledge on Antenna sweep criteria including but not limited to Antenna and system Return Loss, DTF, PIM testing, RF Cabling loss to analyze
- MUST have RoofMaster tool experience to prepare EME report for regulatory filing, OOBE/border co-ordination analysis thru Atoll
- Tool Experience: ATOLL, Visio, Mapinfo, Google Earth, Word, PowerPoint, Excel are a must along with worksheet manipulation -VB scripting
- Strong communication skills & Ability to handle multiple priorities, good time management
- Experience with FAA regulatory filings
- Experience with EME reports and knowledge
- Experience with e911 filings
- Understanding of 5G standards
- Proficient in office computer applications: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and MAPINFO, Google sheet, Google Earth
- Must have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience preferred
