Position Overview
Broadstaff is seeking a Fulfillment Technician to support the installation, provisioning, and activation of telecommunications services. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality connectivity solutions to customers by ensuring services are installed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and activate telecom services including internet, voice, and data
- Perform service provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting of network connections
- Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and service tickets
- Install and configure customer-premise equipment (routers, modems, switches)
- Conduct signal testing and verify service performance meets standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding installations and service usage
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies in the field
- Collaborate with dispatch, engineering, and network operations teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3+ years of experience in telecom, field service, or network installation
- Knowledge of fiber optics, coax, and copper cabling preferred
- Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, routers, switches)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and work orders
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75–85 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
Preferred Skills
- Experience with fiber splicing, OTDR testing, or structured cabling
- Familiarity with ISP, VoIP, or Metro-E services
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Work Environment
- Field-based role with travel to job sites
- Exposure to outdoor elements, heights, and confined spaces
- May require on-call, weekend, or after-hours work
