Broadstaff is seeking a Senior OSP Fiber Designer / Network Planning Engineer to support one of the largest telecommunications network transformation and site consolidation programs in North America.
In this role, you'll work with complex carrier-grade transport networks, central offices, data centers, fiber infrastructure, and network migration projects. You'll be expected to evaluate existing network environments, develop creative migration strategies, and create fiber designs that enable the successful consolidation of large-scale telecommunications facilities.

What You'll Be Doing
- Develop high-level and low-level fiber network designs
- Analyze existing carrier network infrastructure
- Create fiber migration and site consolidation plans
- Design complex splice schemes and routing solutions
- Support central office and data center network transformations
- Review field audit data and validate inventory records
- Utilize GIS and network inventory systems to develop designs
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, project managers, and field teams
- Identify project risks and propose practical solutions
- Support large-scale network modernization initiatives
What We're Looking For Required Experience
- 5+ years of OSP Fiber Design, Network Planning, or Telecommunications Engineering experience
- Experience designing carrier-grade fiber networks
- Strong understanding of fiber optic architecture and splice planning
- Experience with:
- ArcGIS
- 3GIS
- GIS Planning Platforms
- Network Inventory Systems
- Ability to interpret network records and engineering documentation
- Experience supporting network growth, migration, or consolidation projects
