You will be instrumental in ensuring our IT investments are strategically aligned, effectively managed, and deliver maximum value to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the adoption of portfolio management and product management methodologies across business and IT teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive 18-month strategic roadmap.
- Lead initiatives to improve and streamline the IT project intake process.
- Develop and present clear and concise C-suite level reporting dashboards on the health and performance of the IT portfolio.
- Drive the creation and adoption of outcome-based roadmaps and reporting mechanisms.
- Facilitate the prioritization of project and enhancement requests submitted to IT development teams, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Guide business and IT teams in adopting a product-centric approach to their work.
- Educate business stakeholders on fixed asset processes to ensure proper capitalization of programs and projects.
- Hold business PMO accountable for developing and maintaining roadmaps, defining outcome-based use cases, and effectively prioritizing requests into IT.
- Hold IT Product Owners accountable for translating strategic roadmaps into detailed product roadmaps, ensuring speed of delivery, quality, and transparent reporting.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential conflicts and roadblocks impacting portfolio execution.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels to drive adoption of new processes and achieve desired outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to C-suite executives on portfolio strategy, performance, and key initiatives.
- 4+ years of experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices.
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps methodologies, including Product Lifecycle Management.
- Advanced understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including various testing methodologies.
- 4+ years of experience in program management, managing complex and cross-functional initiatives.
- 2+ years of experience working with Release Management and Deployment Planning processes.
- Demonstrated success in driving projects and initiatives forward in complex and undefined environments.
- Successfully identified, designed, and implemented process improvements that resulted in increased efficiency and effectiveness within IT delivery
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
- Experience in conflict avoidance and resolution.
- Experience presenting to and interacting with C-suite level executives.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jira.
- 2+ years of experience contributing to and developing strategic roadmaps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Degree or equivalent 7+ years of experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering).
- Formal certification in project or portfolio management (e.g., PMP, PfMP).
- Experience working within the telecommunications or direct broadcast satellite industry.
- Familiarity with financial management principles related to IT investments.
