- Pay: $18+ (potential yearly income $40K to $52K)
- Negotiable - Based on experience and certifications.
- 10% differential for night work
- Must be able to work out-of-town or nights occasionally.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Traffic Signal Installer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic traffic control devices. Work involves assembling, installing, servicing, testing, repairing, and adjusting electrical and mechanical components of traffic signals and related equipment. Other duties include but not limited to
- Assembling and Installing Traffic Signal Poles and overhead traffic signals, Overhead Signs, pedestrian features, and other related Signal components.
- Understanding oral and written instructions that may be accompanied by detailed plans.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with codes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record, Class A CDL preferred.
Education and Experience:
- ISMA Florida Certification (Preferred).
- Two years of Traffic Signal field experience (Required).
